Your thoughts and memories have brought a measure of comfort to us as we couldn't be with you in those first days of your grief. I am so pleased and fulfilled that I was able to personally experience Matthew's love and the enjoyment of his giftedness. Thank you for opening this part of your life to us. With all our love, Ray & Margo

Comment on A Tribute To My Son by Linda Beeman

Linda,

Thank you for sharing this with me. It confirms what I have come to know about Matthew ofve the years that you have allowed me to be a part of your family.

Mathew was a special person who had the ability to light up a room or any venue in which he found himself. I encourage you to continue to tell the "Matthew" story. Through your telling some of his light will be shared with those of us wh never had the opportunity to know him.

Be Blessed
Chuck

Comment on A Tribute To My Son by Linda Beeman

I'm glad you were able to post this. It's nice to be reminded of the hundreds of lives Matthew touched. I had heard from my mom that you and Uncle Bobby had a couple of friends of Matthew contact you this year and she told me about the girl you spoke with. I was wondering how things were going with all that.

I love you all dearly and can't wait to see you one of these holidays!

Comment on 4th Anniversary Of My Son's Death

I always admired your son's picture sitting on your desk when you worked for Andrew. I knew you really loved your son. GOD has a special place in heaven for him undoubtedly.
Regarding the insurance, I bought my son an insurance policy and when he got out of college he cashed it in and spent it. It sort of broke my heart because I wanted him to keep it as a nest egg. He fealt that any money he had was meant to be spent. He is what I call the Generation X population.

Comment on A Tribute To My Son by Linda Beeman

Thanks Gary,

Your comment really means a lot to us. I have wanted to write this for the last four years but was unable to do so until now. My relatives came across in boats. I guess you could call it sneaking across because they came with no papers. Ellis Island let them in. If it hadn't happened that way, I woulodn't be in the USA myself. Back then there really wasn't any need to be declared a citizen. I guess they could have been considered illegals but at Ellis Island they just let them in.
Maybe we should go back to those days where we just keep count of all the illegals. If they want to pay taxes, its better than your solution of just paying to send them all back. We could also send them to Iraq to help fight the war for us. Do you like that idea?

Comment on Mexican Fix

Hey, Gary.

Yeah. I knew that argument was out there, somewhere. Back when "we got started", there was no established nation, society, or economy. There were just hugh expanses of land, populated by a few Indians. Comparing immigrants today with those of Colonial America, or similar periods, is an oranges to apples comparison.

I agree that we can absorb lots of people, and there is nothing wrong with immigration. The situaton we have today is that a lousy country south of the border is using the USA as an economic relief valve. We are getting Mexico's problems.

Mexicans are in fact economic slave labor.

We will never be able to plug all the holes in the border, but, we can stop 99% of the flow of the illegals. By effectively bottleing up Mexico's problems in Mexico, their day of reckoning will be hastened, and the Mexican government will be forced to implement reforms. It will be that or civil war. You can't starve all the people all the time.

By the way, how did all those Poles and Russians get in the country?

Thanks for you comment. It is always appreciated.

bb
